The Trust - Who are we

A Charitable Trust based in Llanymynech on the English/Welsh border at the Visitor Centre on The Montgomery Canal. Our aim is to re-create the historic canal packet (passenger) boat, 'Duchess Countess', built around 1830 and ended her days on the Montgomery/Llangollen Canals in 1954. Detail marine drawings exist and it is from these that a full scale (72ft long) replica build is proposed.
